SEMI Silicon Photonics Seminar: Bridging Innovation in Silicon Photonics

As the demand for AI applications continues to grow, the focus has also shifted to high-speed data transmission, accelerated by computing trends. Leading semiconductor companies TSMC and ASE have both indicated that “silicon photonics will become a key technology for the semiconductor industry in the next 5 to 10 years. Developing silicon photonics not only helps extend the life of Moore’s Law but also consolidates Taiwan’s important position in the global semiconductor landscape.”

In light of this, SEMI will host a virtual Silicon Photonics Seminar on May 15 (US) and 16 (Taiwan), themed “Bridging Innovation in Silicon Photonics.” Experts in the field of silicon photonics will share insights on the future development prospects and challenges of silicon photonics technology.
